INSPIRED BY THE HISTORICAL MOON EXPEDITION
WATCH STRAP FOR THE MOON TRAVEL
July 2019, we came across an original picture on the internet showing the watch (Omega) and its watch strap with the original issuance documents, which indicated 'Apollo', 1969 Moon landing for mankind.
We thought it will be fun to modify the original watch strap design for modern usage.
As it is related to NASA, we are using our original Army webbing to add aesthetics. Instead of making it longer like the original (for wearing outside of their space suit sleeve), we modified it to normal length. Adding leather stitch-down to reinforce velcro and end-tips.
Suitable for all 20mm lug size, but if you want to feel Buzz Aldrin, fit onto Omega :)

Original Military Helmet webbings from the Army
Strap is made of heavy canvas (the same used in WW2 British Army)
OGL Stainless Steel hardware
Olive leather strap stitched on as reinforcement for velcro.
End tip with NATO ring and leather binding, cross-stitched.
No one straps are the same, all unique with different colour fading.
Slight frays are common as they are from used helmets.
Note:
As these are originally military webbing, the width is fixed at 20mm, hence the lug-size. A difference on 1 to 2mm will be a little loose or compress.
Straps are adjustable, however, maximum fitting on wrist is 8.5" diamater.
