Our slim tapered cut jeans, made from 16oz slubby selvedge denim. This heavily textured denim is woven with an uneven hand on both the face and reverse (think off the scale loom-chatter), but at the same time, is incredibly soft and comfortable to wear. To create this darkened variation, we take a pair of standard IH-777S-SLB jeans and steep the entire garment in black dye using a direct dyeing process. This stains the indigo denim and stitching, with the added bonus of removing all shrinkage from the fabric. A unique middle ground between our traditional indigo and black denims, over time the fabric will gradually fade with blue-tinged hues in high-wear areas.
Our Fabric Notes
The 16oz slubby denim features a more irregular texture, giving the fabric a distinct surface character. While still structured, it softens with wear and develops noticeable visual texture over time.
Our Fit Notes
The 777 features a slim fit through the top block with a noticeable taper from the knee down. It offers a more modern shape compared to Iron Heart’s traditional straight cuts, while still maintaining a structured, heritage feel.

Sanforized & One-Washed
- Sanforization is a post-weave mechanical process which removes most potential shrinkage from a fabric before garment construction
- To further reduce the risk of shrinkage, we wash the completed garment in an aggressive industrial washing machine. This process removes virtually all potential shrinkage.
- No further shrinkage is expected when washed according to our care guidelines
Stretch Details
- The waist will stretch out approximately 1" with wear. All other dimensions that are put under pressure will stretch proportionally to the waist

- We recommend washing this garment at 30°C with a low (or no) spin cycle. Hang dry, do not tumble dry
