OGL Obbi Good Luck Horsehide Brass Buckle

Built with the same approach we bring to our leatherwork, the Brass Horseshoe Belt Buckle is a substantial piece of hardware handcrafted by Obbi Good Label for 1.5-inch leather belts.

The horseshoe has long been associated with good luck and protection, with its symbolism rooted in old blacksmith traditions. Here, that familiar form becomes a functional object, bold enough to stand on its own, yet restrained enough to develop naturally alongside a well-worn leather belt.

Cast in solid brass and individually finished by hand, the buckle carries a warm golden tone when new. With use, the surface will gradually change, darken and take on character, creating a finish particular to the way it is worn.

Solid Brass, Made to Age

Brass is a living material. Exposure to air, moisture, perspiration and natural oils causes the metal to oxidise over time, gradually developing a deeper and more varied patina.

Unlike the rings, direct skin contact with a belt buckle is generally more limited, but oxidation and colour changes are still a natural part of solid brass. Depending on wear and environment, darker or greenish oxidation may occasionally develop on the metal.

Leave it untouched and allow the buckle to age alongside your leather belt, or polish it occasionally to restore its brighter golden finish.

Natural oxidation, patina and colour variation are inherent characteristics of solid brass and are not considered manufacturing defects.
