OGL Obbi Good Luck Signet Brass Ring

Rooted in one of the oldest traditions of men’s jewellery, the Brass Signet Ring is handcrafted by Obbi Good Label as a contemporary expression of heritage, identity and permanence.

Historically known as the Gentleman’s Ring, signet rings once carried family crests, personal emblems and marks of authority, pressed into wax to authenticate important documents. While its role has evolved, the meaning behind the signet remains something personal, carried on the hand and connected to one's own story.

Our interpretation keeps the form deliberately clean and substantial. Sculpted in wax before being cast in solid brass and individually finished by hand, its unadorned face allows the form, material and craftsmanship to speak for themselves.

Solid Brass, Made to Age

Brass is a living material. Its warm golden surface will gradually darken and develop a natural patina through wear, exposure and time. Rather than diminishing the piece, this evolution gives the ring greater depth and individuality.

As brass reacts naturally with air, moisture, perspiration and oils on the skin, oxidation may occur. This can occasionally leave a greenish or darker mark on the skin, particularly with prolonged wear or in humid conditions. This is a natural characteristic of solid brass and not a material defect. The marks can normally be washed away with soap and water.

The brass itself will continue to develop character as it ages. Leave the patina untouched and allow the ring to tell its own story, or occasionally polish it to bring back its brighter golden finish.

Please note: Natural oxidation, patina, colour changes and temporary skin discolouration are inherent characteristics of solid brass and are not considered manufacturing defects.
